THE OPPORTUNITY

Fresh Graduates. The Confidence and Capability to Contribute From Day One.

SNB, one of Saudi Arabia’s largest and most strategically significant financial institutions, was investing in the development of its graduate intake across a diverse range of business units. Fresh graduates entering the bank had strong academic foundations. What they needed was the transition from academic thinking to banking practice: the mindsets, behaviours, and functional breadth required to contribute confidently from day one in a complex, high-stakes environment.

The challenge was scale and diversity. Graduates came from varied academic backgrounds. They were being placed across different business units, each with its own priorities and frameworks. The programme needed to build a consistent foundation while accommodating specialisation, and it needed to do so across multiple cohorts without losing quality or relevance.

THE SOLUTION

A 12-Month Journey Built Around SNB’s Own Frameworks

Emile Woolf Middle East designed and delivered a twelve-month Graduate Development Programme for SNB, combining modular banking content with experiential learning and a blended digital delivery model. The curriculum was built in close coordination with SNB’s internal business units to ensure the content mirrored the bank’s actual frameworks and priorities.

Blended Digital Learning

Leveraged an LMS to provide interactive digital content, assessments, and exercises complementing in-person sessions. Graduates could access resources flexibly throughout the twelve months.

Year-Long Integrated Journey

An end-to-end development pathway combining modular banking content with high-impact experiential learning across the full graduate year.

Modular Specialisation

Foundational and specialist tracks built to ensure a comprehensive understanding of both institutional and specialised finance, calibrated to each graduate’s assigned business unit.

Stakeholder-Aligned Curriculum

Coordinated with internal SNB business units to ensure every module mirrored the bank’s actual frameworks, not generic banking theory.

THE PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

Foundations, Simulation & Specialisation

Phase 1

Foundational Banking

Intensive modules on strategic finance, regulatory environments, performance systems, and relationship management. The common language every SNB graduate needs regardless of business unit.

Phase 2

Experiential Simulation

Real-world case studies and scenario-based exercises bridging the gap between academic theory and banking practice. Decisions made under conditions that mirror the real role.

Phase 3

Specialised Tracks

Tailored learning paths aligned to each graduate’s assigned business unit. The programme ends where the role begins.

THE IMPACT: Graduate Readiness at Scale

The programme significantly enhanced graduate readiness, with participants demonstrating the confidence to contribute meaningfully to SNB from day one. The engaged learning experience received high ratings for practical application and industry-specific relevance. By integrating digital learning alongside in-person delivery, the programme ensured graduates could access resources flexibly, creating a scalable talent pipeline that supports SNB’s strategic ambition as a leader in regional finance.
